Just something to consider…my husband had siatic (sp?) pain down his leg for several months. Primary doctor sent him for xrays and was told he had arthritis in his spine and gave him medicine. The pain persisted and his radiation oncologist sent him for a MRI of his spine. Turned out he had a tumor in his spine that was putting pressure on the siatic nerve. My husband was given Cyberknife treatment for the tumor and the pain subsided. As a precaution, don’t let the pain persist too long without having a professional have a look. Wish you a speedy recovery on your operation.
KarenTom….my husband had similar complaints post-surgery. Pain seemed to be radiating from the site of the resection in to his back, abdomen, and upper legs. We had been informed of the invasive nature of this surgery (and, that is saying it lightly), and were not prepared for the following lengthy recovery. It took time, and realizing you are just one months in to your recovery period I assume for you to be feeling much better as time goes on. Other members may also want to share some of their own experiences with you.

MarionHi all,
I underwent surgery in November and am currently recovering from the resection. This has been going well but I have been experiencing a lot of pain in my groins, mainly when walking. A shooting pain hits me when I walk at times in both legs. I am seeing my doc this week so will confirm, but was wondering if anyone else had experienced this?
Other things I am suffering from include pain in my right shoulder and pain in my right hand side of my back, which I assume is my body still coming to terms with the surgery.
I have also just finished my first course (of 6) of Gemcitabine so have this week off!
Any help would be appreciated.
