Lainy,
You were one of the first to welcome me to this very unique website and so many of my questions and concerns were taken care of by you and the other loving, knowledgable members. The fact that you have been able to share your experience with Teddy says volumes about your kind nature. I can understand how special your relationship is. Having hospice to share the caring responsibilities allows you more time together as Teddy approached the end of his journey. How blessed he was to have you….as we all are. May God walk with you.December 6, 2010 at 2:56 am #45088cherbourgSpectatorLainy,
I hope for Teddy sake you wrote down the directions for inserting the movie! He is such a wonderful, special man.
I’m sure he will be well taken care of and that this move will enable the two of you to just be a couple again and not patient and caregiver.
These are truly precious moments and I am humbled that you are sharing this amazing man with all of us.
I’m sending love, hugs and prayers of strength to you and Teddy.
Much love,
PamDecember 5, 2010 at 3:31 pm #45087isellureMemberMay god be with you and Teddy. You are a shining example of what we all wish for in a spouse, a best friend and soul mate. May the care Teddy receives give you some comfort in knowing that he is well taken care of and that you can now just enjoy these days with him and enjoying his company. I am praying for you to stay strong and be taken care of emotionally. Lean on those who love you and keep leaning on all of us! We are your friends and closest confidants. I loved the Thanksgiving pictures. The love you two have for each other shows like a neon light in everyone of those beautiful photos. Take care of yourself and we love you!

Today you made one of life’s hardest decisions. Allow yourself some time to adjust to what is yet another twist in the road of what has been a challenging journey and know that you and Teddy are surrounded with the love, support, and prayers of many both near and far.
Take care,
Bz
December 4, 2010 at 10:54 pm #45085lalupesSpectatorDearest Lainy – like the others, I think of you & Teddy every day. You are both so incredibly inspirational in your love & in your amazing strength & I find it so hard to accept that Teddy is moving into this new phase. When I read of the tough times people I love on here are going through, I want to scream & shout & drum my heels & yell “But it’s just not fair!!” My childish tantrums won’t change anything but may release some of the anger & frustration I feel about such wonderful people having to deal with such physical & emotional pain. I know your strength & your limitless love will see you through this. It’s clear you have a wonderfully loving family out there in the “real” world, as well as on here in our (equally real) online world.
I love you both very much.

I’ve been thinking all day of you and Teddy and I hope that Teddy had a calm night. I know that the quality of the care my dad got in hospital was nothing short of amazing, and I know that Teddy will get the same level of care as well. Nothing was too much trouble for the doctors and nurses and my dad was made as comfortable as possible. My mum asked me to pass on her best wishes to you and Teddy as well.
Big hugs,
Gavin

Your last days of this journey so vividly bring back the experience Gary went through 13 months ago. Once he was admitted to Hospice things went very quickly, but by then everyone in this situation realizes that is inevitable. Please don’t torture yourself with the idea Teddy isn’t being cared for in a loving manor. I’m convinced that at this point of his journey he has one foot on earth and one in heaven.
My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you both. You have inspired all of us. You can do this! Love, ElaineLainy—What an amazing post! This is truly words of wisdom for all of us facing this situation. I hope I will remember these sincere words of faith when my time comes to make such a tough decision for my Mom. Take care and take comfort that you have been able to do so much together in Teddy’s last days at home.

You are a woman of strength and courage. I am thinking of you and praying for you and Teddy. Someone once said, “Don’t worry about tomorrow for God is already there.”

As Helen said, there are no magic words, but I too am thinking of you and sending lots of love. There is no good or bad way to do these things, we can only do what we feel in our heart is the best. I am sure that Teddy will be well taken care of. I hope you were able to have a restful night. Take care Lainy and stay strong. We are all here for you.
Love & Hugs,

Like everyone, I have been thinking of you and Teddy so much just recently. Teddy’s needing to tell you about the TV/movies just speaks volumes – his way of being so caring and loving, making sure you were OK with everything.
The love you so obviously share is just so precious and so special – and this will never, ever change …
I want to find the right magic words to make what you are going through now a little easier – but there just aren’t any, so I will just send love, prayers and positive thoughts for you both.
Helen xx
