I’m not sure whether this is still relevant, but Dt Ian McGilvray at Toronto General is supposed to be a highly reputable surgeon for bile duct cancer. Toronto has world class facilities. I’m in Ottawa, my husband had this cancer.

    Hi Everyone,

About a month ago – my father was diagnosed with unresectable cholangiocarcinoma.  It is a hard pill to swallow.  As we read on many posts, we are currently seeking a second/third opinion.  We are currently at Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre but are seeking additional opinions at Princess Margaret / Toronto General, than possibly Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton Ontario.  I have also read that Mount Sinai has a bile duct cancer treatment center.

Is anyone else battling this cancer in Canada, Ontario? We are looking for a recommendation of hospitals and physicians hopefully in our area, but might look into the US for treatment if we have no luck here.

    Thanks,

    Family38
