CATHERINE, who are we to ask why, but you are Blessed at this Thanksgiving time. YIPPEE! It doesn’t get better than that! Give that lady another Taco~! Isn’t it ironic that we question the good as well as the bad. Maybe it just means it is so good we can’t believe it. Bring on the HOLIDAYS!
November 19, 2015 at 6:01 pm #86197mbachiniModeratorCatherine,
Such great news! So very happy for you and your mother……and she brings much hope. Keep telling her story and shining her hope on others. Hugs to you both.
MelindaNovember 19, 2015 at 4:36 pm #86196middlesister1ModeratorMom had quarterly CT scan yesterday and appointment is tomorrow with her ONC. We had thought we’d be waiting for results, but my hero (her IR doc) sent me text below. In 2013, we thought it would be our last holidays with mom. I’m not sure why we are so fortunate, but I wish it can give others hope.
Catherine
I must say – she continues to amaze! The scan looks great!!
Happy holidays!

August 20, 2015 at 8:12 pm #86195spaperaMemberHi Catherine, you very kindly responded to my original post about my mother. I am wondering if you think her condition is similar to where your mother was before she started the SIRT. My mother’s cancer has metastasized from the liver to the lungs and possibly the spine as well. None of her doctors have mentioned SIRT. Do you think that is something she should be considering?
Feel free to email me directly at snpapera@gmail.com if you would be so kind, and I will certainly try to monitor this topic board as well. You can also feel free to call me anytime at 908-914-7827 if you think anything I have looked into can be of help to you or your mother or otherwise want to “exchange notes.”
Thank you!

August 7, 2015 at 6:35 pm #86191lainySpectatorCatherine, never feel bad about good news and if anyone understands it would be Duke. It is the good news that gives everyone HOPE. I love the NED thing, never heard that before. Yippee for Mom!
August 7, 2015 at 5:59 pm #86190middlesister1ModeratorHi,
It’s so bittersweet to read Duke’s update and at the same time be so happy and relieved.
Mom met with oncologist today and scan still shows No Evidence of Disease. (We Love NED!!!!)
We also had blood drawn for Guardant360. I’m not sure if there’s no viable tumor if we’ll get meaningful results, but happy that her ONC was on board and pursued the genetic testing.
Best wishes to all,
Catherine
