I am so not ready for this. I knew it was coming but I am still not ready to accept that our beloved Jeff is gone. Although I completely rejoice in his peace and end of suffering, I am so saddened by it happening. I dont know whether to swear and shout or cry. I can only imagine how his family must feel. Although we only knew Jeff through this board, he was such a dynamic, funny and caring person. That must only be a fraction of who he was in real life.

My deepest and most heart felt condolences to Valerie and the rest of the family. Please know that Jeff will live in our hearts forever and that his heart, strength, and sound advice greatly enhanced so many peoples lives. He had such a powerfully positive life force and it will surround us and your family forever.

I will say some very special prayers for Jeff and his family tonight.

Oh Jeff, you will be so missed! By everyone here, and by your loving wife and family. So many friends and loved ones you had, so many people that depended on you for information and laughs and wisdom. What a valiant fight and what an example you set, Jeff. Your spirits lives on through everyone you touched with your humor and inner beauty.

All my sympathy to Valerie and the kids and grandkids — we will never forget him.

To the family of Jeff Gerrish,

We all depended on Jeff so much, and he cheerfully and positively helped us even throughout his own anxiety and suffering. This site has lost a fine man with so much strength and character and grieves with you and for you Valerie and family. I am glad Jeff doesn’t have to suffer anymore, and he is at peace. He walks beside God now.

    My prayers for you,
    Sophie
Maybe we can all carry on if we remember Jeff’s mantra from the Eagles, Take it to the limit one more time.”

I was thinking so much about Jeff in the last two days, and while I am greatly saddened by this wonderful persons passing, I am at peace that his suffering is over. Jeff is the first person that responded to my first post on this site, and from that very first post, I felt like I had a friend in him. His memory will live on forever on this site because his knowledge and compassion from his thousands of posts are invaluable.
Rest in Peace Jeff, you too, are dancing with the angels now.
Valerie you are in my prayers along with your family.

I am really sorry to hear about Jeff’s death. He was a great help to people on this site and always so positive. I have often quoted his 9 year survival to medical staff who think there is little hope with cc.
My sincere sympathy to his wife and family. I am thinking of you now.

ITS NOT HOW MANY BREATHS YOU TAKE IN LIFE
ITS HOW MUCH LIFE YOU PUT IN EACH BREATH…..i think that was Jeffs approach to life
