You are in my thoughts and prayers! I hope that surgery becomes an option for you.
December 15, 2009 at 7:22 pm #33509tiapattyMemberKris,
Read this article, maybe the magician can work his magic on Leroy and Junior:

Been away for a while and just saw this, hope you are regrouping and recharging your mental batteries. How about we start a petition for your surgery? I am willing to sign it and maybe with my Chicago connections I can get Oprah and Obama to sign as well.
Seriously, is there any sort of appeal process you can turn to?

December 11, 2009 at 4:17 am #33505debrahSpectatorDear Kris, I have not been here in quite some time but you are always the first person I look to find and pray that you are doing well every time. I am sorry that your news was not better but honey you are one of the special ones, like Jeff and Peter…you are tough and strong and kind and compassionate and sure as heck you are no quitter! And when you feel scared then I beleive the rest of this board lifts you up in prayer and strength when you are unable. Honey, you have blessed so very many on this board including myself that I feel that God will bless you in his own very special way as well. Keep up the good work Kris…rest when you need, cry when you must and then continue to kick some more cancer @$$. hugs, deb

Hug Hans, do some cuddling, make some plans to spoil that godson Kjartan Magnus, do some cursing at LEROY in Swedish (Since you are now proficient) and English, then as you said, take a little time to regroup.
You ARE a fighter and have all of the courage you need for this next battle. This little skirmish is just one more battle you will win.
We love you and are praying for you.
Many hugs and much, much love!

December 9, 2009 at 8:53 am #33504lalupesSpectatorDear Kris, I send my very, very best wishes to you & Hans for your meeting on Thursday; my sister’s been told her chemo is palliative only, too & it shocked her but – like you – she’s now saying “whatever the doctors may be saying – I fight on!!” I’m glad the doctors are making it clear that NO ONE is giving up. You are so clearly a wonderful person with a terrific fighting spirit. We’re all behind you, cheering you on in your fight.
& – as Ashley said – WELL DONE YOU on kicking Leroy right out of your nodes!!
Love Julia xx

I hope your docs give you the response you want on Thursday. I will be thinking of you.If I understand this correctly, the chemo removed cancer in your lymph nodes?? That is a very good thing!!! Please put the positve spin on this… your cancer is still contained.
I have a question and maybe I have not been paying enough attention, but most members talk chemo only. Has anyone done radiation as a treatment?
Ok- welll hang tight. We’re all thinking of you.
AshleyDecember 9, 2009 at 12:54 am #33501walkMemberI will praying that your doctors have the courage and wisdom to perform the surgery!

I am sorry to hear this news. I know that you won’t give up and that you will come out fighting again and I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that you get your surgery and hoping for good news from the meeting on Thursday.
Visiting your godson does sound like a good idea right now if you can. I will keep you in my thoughts and am sending you loads of positive thoughts and support your way.
My best wishes
Gavin

I too am sorry you have gotten this discouraging news, but I agree with Lainy. One never knows what is around the corner. Going to see Kjartan might not be a bad idea right now. Know that I am thinking of you and hoping for the best.
Love & Hugs,
Darla -
