We are reaching out to you to let you know about the FREE genetic testing study at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.   This program allows MSKCC to perform targeted genomic sequencing of the patient’s tumor for 488 cancer-related genes using the MSK-IMPACT assay. It is the largest program of its kind.  The goal is to identify a mutation or copy number alteration that can be targeted by available or experimental therapies. The patient does not need to come to MSKCC to participate and everything is FREE. We can consent him/her by phone/mail and arrange for slides from his/her  tumor to be sent to MSKCC as well as a blood draw for germline DNA (to serve as a reference of comparison to the tumor). MSKCC is currently trying to recruit Cholangiocarcinoma patients for research, and hopefully to help some patients.

Please view their website to register –

Some of the funds used for this study came from Cycle for Survival, in which some cholangiocarcinoma patients helped to raise significant funds for!

    Thank you,

    Gavin
