Ha, Kris, anytime! I used to say if someone would iron for me I would clean their house. I hate ironing. Teddy always said he was going to buy me a 50 gallon drum of Windex for my birthday. I really love to clean.

Good for you Gavin. I used to bike 8 miles three days a week and walk 4 three days a week….of course that was before I married Mark and moved away from my gorgeous lake…..now I just have a highway to dodge cars on. The pilates does help with my back.

Lainy if you feel like cleaning you can come help away at my house. I am trying to get things rearranged to put new furniture in finally.

Thanks Kris. I lost an absolute ton of weight over the last few years and have got a bit lazy since the start of this year/end last year so decided to get back to my healthy eating plan, exercise etc a few months ago. Walking is great exercise and have heard that pilates is good too although never done that. I like the gym with the machines and that but was going far too much last year and ended up damaging my ankles. Went 42 days in a row and that did no good for my ankles so my doc told me! Going back again but not that much again ever!

I hear what you say about having to set your mind to this and you are so right in that it will be hard for you to do so right now. Maybe I can motivate you! I should have done a sponsored weight loss or something for the CCF, we would have raised loads!

And Lainy, cleaning being your destresser…… that does not surprise me at all! Ha!! The cooking I can get on board with but the cleaning, whoa!! Think I’ll stick with my sit-up’s and all of that!!

    Hugs to you both,

    Gavin

You are doing what I need to do. I need to quit eating junk….I am a stress eater….and start eating better. And I need to start walking again plus doing my pilates. I just need to set my mind to it but it’s hard right now. Glad you are doing it. Maybe I will get motivated soon.

Aah whisky! Haven’t had one for about 4 months Kris. Going through a fitness, exercise and healthy eating phase here so no time for a wee dram or two! So yes, I guess whisky is not the answer and maybe I should try yoga then!

My dad used to get reikki sessions when he went to day care and he raved about that for relaxation. He never thought that it would work for him but he was sooo wrong on that one!

Agree with you about the having to learn to say no sometimes Kris. I need to learn that more I think myself sometimes. Will try and put that into action more if I can!

Away to do some sit-up’s and get the exercise bands out as well. Bought them a few weeks ago and they are good, far better than what I thought they would be.

Oh man, Gavin, are you telling me whiskey is not the answer? :)

Not that I would but I sure understand about reducing stress….learn to say NO. If you don’t really want to do something it is okay to say NO. I had to learn that one. And you don’t even have to justify it by saying you are too tired. Just say NO!
