October 30, 2008 at 12:09 am #23878lisaSpectatorHow about Chang’s in Alderwood on the 8th? I come down from Stanwood, so that’s about a 45 minute drive for me.
I’m excited! It will be fun to meet you all.
October 29, 2008 at 7:32 pm #23877lainySpectatorAnd we are all looking forward to your reunion report! I think you should each describe what you think the other looks like! Just kidding. I wish we could have a reunion here in Phoenix! Hear that Phoenix?
October 29, 2008 at 7:08 pm #23876woodroseSpectatorI believe you are right about the restaurant and the purpose for meeting. I didn’t mean to suggest otherwise. Looking forward to meeting wherever it is on the 8th.
Jim HauryOctober 29, 2008 at 1:56 am #23875DianeCGuestJim — no offense taken. I just thought we were meeting for a casual, fun gathering. If it’s about the food, I have dozens of fine restaurant suggestions. Amici Bistro might be the Italian Restaurant you’re thinking of in Mukilteo.
DianeOctober 29, 2008 at 12:53 am #23874woodroseSpectatorJim here. I hope I do not offend anyone but Azteca is not really Mexican food. I found some more authentic food in Mukilteo on 99 around the casino and Jimmy Jacks. Don’t know the name. It’s a bright orange building right on 99. I will get the name in a few days. I have a good friend that is a wonderful mexican chef in Issaquah. He owns the Las Margaritas there. I ask for Oscas special and food comes out of the kitchen that is not on the menu. I wish I could say the same for Italian. I do know of a spendy pizza and wine place in Mukilteo. But I am open to meeting anywhere for our first gathering. I am often in Mukilteo on the weekends.
October 28, 2008 at 4:02 pm #23873DianeCGuestI could do the 8th. I love Italian & Mexican. I don’t know how far north or south y’all want to travel. There’s an Azteca at Alderwood Mall. Also one in Mukilteo. Also a P.F. Chang’s in Lynnwood (Alderwood). I’m thinking of places like that because of reasonable prices and the fact we can all blahblahblah without interruption. Lisa and Jim, since you are each coming from far north and far south, perhaps you should decide what works for you both. I’m game for any venue in any city. (How ’bout Rome, Italy?)
DianeOctober 28, 2008 at 5:32 am #23872woodroseSpectatorThe 8th might work out better for me because I get infusions on the 13th & 14th. I can’t predict how I will feel the following Saturday (15th). I don’t know about restaurants in the Seattle area but I can inquire. I will check back to see when and where our meeting will take place. Look forward to meeting you all sometime soon,

Such a good idea!!! I will make either date work! I love Italian and Mexican…actually I like all food…Chinese, Thai, Indian, seafood…pretty much everything. But, you can never go wrong with melted cheese!
I wanted to say that everyone in the Seattle area is welcome…even if you’ve never posted…you are a fellow traveler in this journey and a member of our forum. So, please let us know!
I’ve been trying to think of a restaurant. Maybe when we know more specifically whose coming and from where, we can come up with something centrally located for everyone.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!

October 28, 2008 at 1:22 am #23870devoncatSpectatorOh, sounds like fun! I wish I could go to a meet up…as it is, I think Carol is the closest so she needs to get into hiding or all end up on her doorstep.
It is wonderful you guys are getting to see each other and it is amazing something started to help and honor one patient has exploded into something so wonderful that people are meeting and supporting each other in real life.
It just shows how truly wonderful everyone is on here. I hope everyone who can go does go.

October 28, 2008 at 12:41 am #1687lisaSpectatorOk, fellow cc sufferers & caregivers in the Seattle area – let’s get together and celebrate survivorship in November! Let’s live, laugh, and love one another!
Would November 8th or 15th work for you all? Both those dates are Saturdays.
Where is a good place to have dinner?
Ideas?
I like both Italian and Mexican food. How about you?
