Wish I can help but I have never experienced a hospice so I am no help. Good luck ladies!

    Hi Lainy,

Or should I say Detective Lainy! Thanks for letting us know how you and Robin are getting on with this and it sounds like you both are making some progress. And yes, I will certainly be staying tuned!

    Hugs,

Lainy – Couldn’t help reading your post and hearing the “Mission Impossible” soundtrack in the background (da da da…..da da da…..)….we had Hospice in our home and, although I didn’t actually have “problems” with them, I was not as enamored as some people have been. I thought it was because it was difficult having total strangers in my home 24/7, but there was one nurse in particular that left me cold. I even remember John whispering to me “I don’t like that one!” – and he loved everyone. It just wasn’t normal for him not to like someone. I often wondered why and never was able to find out. But, I made them all leave and I took over since I was still doing most of the work myself (my choice). We only kept one aide who came once a day to bathe John and change the bed sheets. He was a young man from Kenya, I believe. He was fabulous and treated John with tremendous dignity. Anyway….I digress…..keep up the good work! We’re all behind you.

Hello Fun Seekers: Thought I would give you an update. Robin and I have been so busy researching for our Mission at hand. I find it very hard to believe that in 20 years there has not been one complaint about Hospice. Its almost like being in the twilight zone. Robin came over today and video taped me telling my story. Watch out Holly wood! Tomorrow our lawyer, lobbyist, advocate is going to the court house to see if she can find anything. In the meantime I may have a Nurse who works at a Nursing home and used to work at the facility Teddy was at and I understand she directs families to put their loved ones elsewhere! Then I found out that a man we have bought our cars from has a girl friend who works for the same Hospice. Could it be we are catching a break. Will keep you updated. In the meantime I never heard back from National Hospice and this Hospice is steering very clear of us. Oh, also called our ONC who got hold of a social worker who is supposed to be sending me the files for the 4 days Teddy was there. We shall see. I am sure they are doctored and if so, they are in even bigger trouble. I have decided in my next life I will return as a Detective. So, Change List ….Complete. Video….Complete. Next quest is to find someone, anyone who can help. Stay tuned!
