Lily…I am sorry to hear of the current problems your mother in-law is experiencing. Lily I would not hold on too much on her life expectancy predictions given because, no on really knows that for sure. Have the doctors related her symptoms to disease progression or do they think that is caused by the drugs Tarceva and MM 121?

My M-I-L just started the MM 121 clincial trial. Its in the 2nd pahse I think. Anyway she has had the drug 2x and has taken a nose dive. White counts are at 2 and platelets at 17.
Does anyone else have any experience with this? any information?
She has been in the hospital for 5 days and had 6 transfusions… they can’t let her out b/c her counts keep going down.
She’s stage 4 with mets to her lungs and spine. They gave her 1 year – she’s 3 months past that!
