    Dear Devasted Daughter,

I am really hoping that your Mom gets her Chemo today. I know from experience how hards it is waiting for the ok from the Doctor to go ahead.

Do they expect your Moms bilirubin to fall some more, only they wouldn’t give my dad chemo unless it was 50 or under?

They should do another blood test before the chemo is given so this will help detemine whether it will go ahead. I would also mention to the doctor/nurses about your Moms pain, there should be something she could be given to help deal with it.

Sending lots of love and prayers

I hope the doctors can do something to address your mother’s immediate needs for pain meds, nausea, and bloating. I know how awful that can be.

    Best wishes.

This was an issue with my mother as well, I can’t remember exactly but I think they should take your mom’s blood pressure, vitals, and perhaps some other tests and decide if they can do the chemo.

My mom never really recovered from her surgery but the first time she went for radiation she had to wait too long and that exhausted her, once they saw that was an issue for her they seemed to call her in more quickly.

With regard to the bloating, have the doctors discussed doing something about it? Is it from ascites?

Also, ask about an anti-nausea prescription.

My mom is scheduled to start her chemo tomorrow, her bilirubin was 87 on friday when we last saw her doctor and other blood tests were good enough to start chemo.

My question is that since friday she has been very tired, weak and had nausea….will she still be able to start the chemo tomorrow? will her body be able to tolerate it? how does this work? will the doctors know if she’s too weak not to give her the chemo? or do they go and give it since her doctor said it was okay on friday?

I am praying to God to help us and help my mother tomorrow, she soo desperately needs this chemo, she is in soo much pain she can no longer tolerate her bloating (she looks 9 mths pregnant)….

Please pray for my mommy, for tomorrow to go well, please!!!

    xxxx
