What great news!! I know what you mean about never knowing if we’ve made the right decision. This disease doesn’t play by any rules and certainly doesn’t play fair. JamieMary, that is just wonderful news. I just think we all have to go with our gut feelings. This “CC” is so hard to understand. Ya think you got it right and it is wrong or ya think it is wrong and its right. I think the one thing we know for sure is it keeps us on out toes. It certainly redefines ones life! Love the good news and look for more in August.
I have about the same news as Kristen Things remain stable for my husband. They did a repeat MRI and CA19 Monday and even though his CA19 has been rising since Jan,. they feel it is just due to the blockage from the radiation stricture. Increased CA19 tests can be caused and are often caused by inflammation. He doesn’t have a stent now and his bili has gone up a little so he may have to have the balloon treatment again if his bloodwork is elevated in Aug. Sometimes I really wonder if just watching things and not going for the really aggressive treatment is better, like Kristen. I guess it really depends on whether the cancer is aggressive or not and obviously Tom’s and Kristen’s is “lazy”! Best wishes to all! I hope everyone has a great summer!! Mary
