I am so very sorry about your Father but you will always have your memories and especially the one where he danced at yhour wedding, that was wonderful. Thank you for giving us your update even though it was not what you hoped for.

    • I wish heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again.
    • I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.
    • I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
    • I think of you in silence, I often speak your name.
    • All I have are memories and pictures in a frame.
    • Your memory is a keepsake, from which I’ll never part.
    • God has you in his arms…I have you in my heart

I’d like to offer you my condolences. I know nobody has the right words to ease your pain. May the memories you have with him, and the love and support of family and friends bring you comfort.

I wish I was coming on here today to write something powerfully optimistic, unfortunately I am writing with an update that my father passed from CC on Dec. 30th, 2011. Still doesn’t feel real.

The hopeful thing that I can write though, if anything, is that we were told he had 3-6 months max when we first found out. He was diagnosed exactly a year before my wedding day. But he stayed with us another 20 months, and he danced with me on my wedding day. And although he kept asking with a smile “are we done yet” throughout the entire dance (gotta love him :) ) he was 100% strong as if nothing was wrong.

I guess I just felt the need to put that update out there and say that if anyone out there has any questions about what we went through, please don’t hesitate to post. I know that when we were going through this, we just wanted to know that from other people.
