I hope you can feel the comforting arms of this community holding you tight with love as you push through this difficult time. So glad you were with your husband as he made his passage, and I hope the beautiful love you shared holds comfort for you in the days to come.

I am sorry and although I can say he is at peace and no more pain it does not take away your loss. You have been incredibly brave to nurse him through his last hours and he will have know you were with him.

I am sorry for the loss of your beloved husband. You did to very best for him that you could. Feeling “out of your league” is how all of us would feel in this situation. Take in all the comforting, condolences and love.

I am so sorry to hear that your dear husband has passed. Take comfort in knowing that his suffering is over and he is no longer in pain. He is in a better place. Keep him with you forever in your heart and your memories. As Lainy already mentioned, eventually memories of the good times will over take the memories of these past months. Know that I am thinking of you as you go through these sad and trying days.
Love & Hugs,
DarlaFebruary 20, 2014 at 2:15 am #79802lainySpectatorLinda, I am so terribly sorry, please accept my condolences. I went through a bad time with Teddy’s end Journey but please believe me when I tell you to try and think of better times the 2 of you had and eventually the CC will take a back seat. It will take time but the good memories will far outweigh the bad. Sending you some huge hugs and lots of love, you are still not alone we are all here and our guys keep a good watch on us.
If I should be the first to go,
And leave you alone, my Dear,
Let not your heart be lonely,
Nor in your eyes a tear.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
I’ll not be far away,
With petals of love and tenderness,
I’ll pave for you the way.
To join me in our sanctuary,
And ne’er again we’ll part.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
I live within your heart.
Take joy again in living,
As you did in years gone by;
God knows what of he’s doing,
And not be questioned why.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
My life with you on earth
Each moment filled with happiness,
And love so few be worth.
I’ll be waiting for you Sweetheart
Where skys are ever blue,
With eager heart and open arms
Patiently, for you.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
May faith and my love keep.
Your soul filled with contentment
Eternally, I sleep.February 20, 2014 at 1:35 am #9573lindakosSpectatorIt didn’t take long, my darling passed away on Sunday. It was really awful the last couple of days. He was really struggling with delusions not being able to communicate needs. I was just so afraid and out of my league. Hospice was minimally helpful. I did have someway stay with me overnight both Friday and Saturday night. It was just so sad. He is in a better place and at peace. No more pain. Calling hours tomorrow, funeral on Friday.
