    Hi Donna,

Welcome to the site. Sorry that you had to find us all and I am sorry to hear about your mum. But I am glad that you have joined us all as you will get a load of support and help from us all.

That is great to hear that your mum came through the sirspheres treatment well and that also her appetite is good. I hope that you will keep coming back here and please feel free to ask any questions that have and we will all do what we can to try and answer them. Please keep us updated on how your mum is doing.

My best wishes to you and your mum,

    Gavin

    Hi all,
I am new to this board and I am starting to read what you have written. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I am so sorry for all that you are going through.
My mother, a youthful and active 89 year old woman was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in October. Her doctor was concerned about weight loss and started the testing. It took several months (although I believe he knew from the beginning) to finally confirm the diagnosis. To their knowledge the cancer is only there, but who knows?? She had the Sir-spheres treatment on Thursday and came through beautifully. She is tired but has a good appetite. I hope that this treatment will give her a little more time. She is hopeful that it will help.
I will continue to read your posts.
    Blessings,
    Donna
