I have a prescript for anti nausea, I just took one. They told me to expect the worst between my blood test day( today), and The next round(thursday). I’m not kidding either, this feeling gives me some peace of mind!!! Its working. I’ll update any changes or questions in a few hours, I want to see qhat the pill does. I’ll also try to get in the right forum.

Scott, you are so right…..It’s WORKING! You might want to get a bottle of Biotene mouth wash at any Pharmacy. It is terrific for things like this. Your Doc can order something for the nausea and indigestion. Don’t be a HE-MAN and suffer as there is no need to.

Scott……no one can predict side effects however; you are off to a great start and may continue to chug along just fine. We have seen this quite often. Remember to drink tons of liquids to flush out your system.
    Hugs,

I’m still chugging along after round 1. I dont seem to have any side effects, so I’ll assume its because of only being part way through my first round.

Maybe its just my Maritime roots…Most of us up here are so tough, you couldn’t castrate us with a chainsaw. I got this.

“I don’t know how my story will end, but nowhere in my text will it ever read I GAVE UP…”

And a nice guy as well. I do have a regulation GB #12 Tee with Rogers on it. Come on Gavin give us your take on this. Ya better start liking the Pack or when you come here to visit I will have to put you in a hotel!!! LOL
It’s rough though when they play the Cardinals as I live in Phoenix and like the Cards too.bUt I sure love a team that is owned by the people!

My little guy, Mac , and I think the greatest football person to ever come out of Wisconsin is JJ Watt.

That is just the point. Being from Wisconsin I think the man was brilliant as well as the GB Packers!
Reminds me that one of our Moderators, Gavin, is from Dundee Scotland and loves the Bears. Well, on Thanksgiving the Bears are playing the Packers. I have already suspended the rules for Thanksgiving Dinner. I alerted all Grandchildren, friends from Milwaukee (3) coming in and everyone else that my rule of no phones or TV’s on at Holiday Dinners will not apply this time. LOL Oh and to wear GB colors and be comfortable! Should be fun and now Gavin knows!

That famous coach also said: ” Winning is not a sometimes thing, its and all the time thing. You dont win once in awhile, you dont do things right once in awhile, you do them right everytime!!!

    Winning is a habit”

it works for every challenge in life, not just football

OMG! Scott, I am old enough to be your Grandma but can I say I love you? If only others were so mentally strong it would be so much easier for them. But, I know everyone cannot be that way and that is why we are all different. I detest coffee and blueberries as much as shrooms! So I would bring my treats for everyone. Met some wonderful people at the time as well. We would talk of everything from politics (because we all agreed, lol) to family. It was like going to mind therapy and not infusions. Bottom line is it takes less stress to laugh than to be sad and upset. That energy is so needed to fight this krap! You may just sail through this Chemo because of your attitude. I know I keep posting this it is so true. Famous coach of the Green Bay Packers said, “attitude is not everything…….it is the ONLY thing!

I’m home now from round 1. So far, just a very slight feeling of tiredness, with a hint of dizziness. maybe a touch of headache too, but I sat in that chair for 5 hours.

A few things I’ve noticed so far.
    – a good sense of humour and a good attitude puts everyone around you at ease.
    – people who come to their treatment by themselves makes me sad. They look so lonely.
    – they have great blueberry muffins up there, but really bad coffee…I’ll send my accomplice to Tim Hortons
    – if you drive a truck, you can avoid the 3 dollar parking fee. You just drive over the curb instead of going through the parking gate.
