Hi Manu-I know just how you feel. You can read my post from a few days ago under general discussions. My husband 64 was diagnosed March 30th. He has had 2 treatments of gemzar and oxiliplatin. He would have had to go to 2 hrs away to get the Avastin too but he had a second opinion at Mayo Clinic who are big in the treatment of CC and the doc there said there is not significant improvement with any of the additions to gemzar. We too are hoping for a miracle. He has multiple liver tumors. Some quite large. Hope your Mom improves. How old is she? How is she feeling? My Dave is feeling much better this week. Take care of yourself and I will keep you in my thoughts. Patrice

My mother has been diagnosed with CC a month ago.She has multiple lesions in the rightlobe and a few in the left lobe. She has been started on Gemzaar,Oxaliplatin and Avastin. She is tolerating it well . I live far away from her and being an only child it has been heart wrenching. The whole world feels so different .Nothing is the same anymore. The oncologists tell me even if the chemo works its usually 6 to 12months unless a miracle happens. I am praying to the merciful Lord every waking minute.I am very sad, scared and tearful.I am not able to care for my husband and son as I feel so crippled mentally . Can anyone give me HOPE ?
