Oh Kris….Greece, how wonderful and romantic for a quick getaway for 2 to a warmer climate and beautiful historic sites and seas.
Enjoy! You can “deal” with the idiots back at the doctor’s offices soon enough when you return. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. I’m envious! Chicago is so far away and not half as interesting. You have a tremendous attitude. I wish I had half that… could it be infectious? I’ll keep trying… Tell us all about your trip when you return. We’ll live through you.

Putting all of this crap behind you and taking off for some Greek sun sounds like an excellent idea to me! Beaches, blue skies, kebabs and warm seas sounds sooo good to me!! I hope you and Hans have a blast!

That really is one of the advantages of living in Europe, you can do those last-minute getaway type breaks to some really cool places. Here, let’s see– a quickie weekend escape to… Ohio? Somehow not quite as appealing.

DarlaMy radiation oncologist called me today full of excuses and apologies, which of course doesnt help. There is no way to bring my ct scan up though after a very tense phonecall that might have had me resort to sarcasm once or perhaps twice, he did call Linkoping and made sure that I will be top priority if they cannot do the radiation in Kalmar. I am so frustrated as the short story is one of the two doctors has lied to me. I dont know if I am more offended they lied to me or the fact that they obviously thought I was too stupid to catch them in it. Today I have cried, decided to quit treatment all together and enjoy the summer for once, only to change my mind.
Hans and I decided to put this crap behind us, forget about it for a bit and so we bought a last minute trip to Thassos Greece for some fun in the sun and a bit of swimming in the ocean. We leave tomorrow night to catch the flight Wednesday morning. No more sitting around being angry and frustrated. Off to good food and ancient historic sites. To my doctors….bite me, I am off having fun.
