Wow Kris,
This is big news and I can see how it would be hard to take it all in. We support you no matter what but you have a lot going for you, you are a spring chicken and in otherwise good health. And I can picture Hans cheerleading the surgeons on! And if they give Olympic medals for surgery you will get the gold!

I will keep my fingers crossed for a good scan result for Ron and hope for more good news for you both! Ron is such a good name, my dad was called Ron!
My best wishes to you both,

February 12, 2010 at 2:23 pm #35383lainySpectatorHi Nancy and thanks for the encouraging news. That is wonderful. We are crossing everything we own to hope for a good PET!!!
February 12, 2010 at 2:16 pm #35382nancypkeenSpectatorKris,
I am a caregiver and have not posted in a really long time. I read the board weekly and you truly are such an inspiration. Your zest for life always warms my heart. You are going to the top of my prayer chain and will be in my continued thoughts.
My husband Ron goes on Tuesday for his six months check-up. He typically has CT scans but will be doing a PET Scan this time, just to be on the safe side. His resection was in August, 2007 and so far has been very blessed with no reoccurences.
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone and hugs coming to all of you.

KathrynFebruary 7, 2010 at 5:19 am #35379mlodgeSpectatorOh Kris,
I don’t know what to say – my tumor is in the same location as yours. I know how the doctors want to tread carefully with surgery in this area. I wish you all the strength you need. I am sending positive vibes to your medical team so they can make this miracle happen! You deserve it!!

February 6, 2010 at 8:30 pm #35378lainySpectatorAs we are all praying for you as well. You are so right, why would they go through all this “bother” if they didn’t have hope. I think they just need to tell you everything so you could make the valid decision that you did. You are one of our most loved heroines!
February 6, 2010 at 4:45 pm #35377devoncatSpectatorThanks for all the wonderful comments. I am trying not to get my hopes up too high as the surgon was very blunt in sayint that they thought there would be nothing they could do once they opened me. But there has to be some hope or they would not organise such a big operation and getting doctors from different cities together. We will see. We are all praying and hoping and wishing….

February 6, 2010 at 12:19 pm #35376jcleggMemberThis takes my breath away – I can’t imagine what must be going through your mind. I will be thinking of you, and praying for you, my young, brave friend. My only child – a daughter – is your age, so I always follow your story very closely. What ever your decision, God will be with you.
