I pray that the Taxotere is hunting down and killing those buggers! Camping trip sounds like fun. Drink up the Gatorade. I never heard that either.

Check up today and blood work was not all to bad except for the first time my platelets were down to 42; just a bit anemic I would say. Got my lecture not to handle anything sharp and if develope nose bleeds to head straight to ER for packing or other appropriate treatment. If don’t go back up or get worst by next week possible transfusion of platelets or a booster shot to try and boost count. Amazing how chemistry tells on you even if you are feeling pretty good. This I’ll take as just another step that taxotere is hunting down cancer cells including the ones hiding out in my spleen the little storage tank of red blood cells I call it. They (ONCO nurses) Reminded to keep drinking again and it was even suggested to try drinking good ole gatorade as the electroltyes will help stimulate paltelet production. Never heard that one before, but will give it a whirl. Suppose to be going camping Memorial Day. Will have to play that out as it comes as I will probally do one more treatment of taxotere before taking a break and regrouping. My heart beat was a plus; up from 32 too 77 bpm this time. Keep on trucking ! any ideas on building up platelets please do pass along.
