I like the idea of having access to medical advice on-line to answer medical questions and help with our education. Obviously, it would be preferable if this type of support was properly resourced, that is we would need access to an expert team (with links to a major hospital) rather than one individual. I’m surprised this type of support does not already exist on a “medical web-site” catering for all cancers. Is anyone aware of any other web-site providing this type of support?

That would be a good idea. My doctor is not a cc specialist (but with all the literature I pass to her, she might soon be one!) so I cant ask her.

Like the idea of patient profiles. I think this was discussed before but I cant remember what came of it.

Just curious, is there any interest in the following:
    1. Having a CC Doctor available to answer questions posted on this site? I know this is easier said than done. Has anyone asked their CC doctor about providing support services via this site in terms of answering questions? There are likely many reasons (e.g. legal, limited time available) why a doctor would shy away from committing to help here. I was just thinking it would be great to have a CC doctor logging on and answering questions here on this site. What are your thoughts? Has anyone asked their doctor? If so, what response did you get?

I will ask my dad’s doctor and see what he says.

    2. Any interest in setting up a patient profile section on this site? My thinking here is it might help people identify with others that have similar profiles. This might also help with future studies if data is compiled. What are your thoughts?
