Sharon, I’m so sorry to hear that your husband, Phil, has passed from CC. It is a very hard thing for all of us to hear, because we want so desperately to hear news of success. But, your dear SIL’s idea of a memorial run in Phil’s name ensures that his death wasn’t in vain. Some good and maybe, hopefully, a cure will come from the memorial run donations. I hope that you can find some strength and peace in that. Meanwhile, know that our hearts are with you.

    Love, Julie T.

Dear Sharon, I am so very sorry to read about Phil. Wish I did not have to say, “welcome to our new normal”. I am so happy that you have decided to stay aboard to help others. I came aboard because I felt the need to pay it forward for our Board who got me through this journey and it makes me feel so good and I also know Teddy would want me to do this. I promise you that one day all the tears and memories will only turn into happy tears and memories. I a, sue Phil is very proud of you and I know you will feel his loves always around you.

Sharon……although their are plenty of signs preceding, always, always we hope for a better outcome. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Your decision to stay on to help others find answers and support those that need it is of immense value to the choangiocarcinoma community in the US and abroad. Thank you for your kindness, it is means much to us all.

The Memorial run for Phil is a wonderful idea, I so much wish to participate. I found that doing something (whatever that may be) helps us in the healing process.

Not sure whether you need guidance or support from the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, but just in case, here are two links that may be of use to you:

In any case, we like to highlight these events on our social media, including the discussion board:

Thinking of you and sending a tidal wave of hugs your way,

    Dear Sharon,

I am so sorry to hear that Phil has passed away. You have my deepest sympathy. In time your sadness and sorrow will slowly ease and you will be able to take comfort in all the wonderful memories you have. Take some comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. Keep his memory alive in your heart and those memories. I am glad you have decided to stay with us. I find that helping others helps me to heal and I am sure you will too. I would also like to thank you and your son-in-law in advance for your thoughtfulness concerning the memorial run in his honor and how your donation will benefit the foundation. Know that my thoughts are with you at this sad & trying time. Take care.

    Hugs,
    Darla

I haven’t been able to login and read the stories of those still fighting since the death of my husband on June 3rd. I finally got the courage to do so tonight. I’ve decided to continue to read posts in hopes that I may be able to answer questions for someone else just as my questions were answered with love and support.

My son -in- law decided a few months before Phil’s battle ended that he was going to organize a memorial run for Phil with all proceeds going to the cholangiocarcinoma foundation. He has been raising awareness by wearing his #runningforphil shirt at each run he does. I’m so proud of him and I intend to run in March in honor of the love of my life taken too soon by this horrible disease.
