Kris, we’re so proud of you! Half the problem with the medical system is in knowing when to be sweet, and when to dig in your heels, and you are one smart cookie! You stood up for yourself and got exactly what you wanted and needed.

I hope the radiation will work just as brilliantly for you as it did for me– it walloped the heck out of my tumors, shrank them by half and stopped them from growing for more than three years.

Meanwhile, have a GREAT time in Greece, and give us a full report on all the yummy food you eat there!

I think my firmness confused and scared them yesterday…not the happy, whimsical Kris they were used to. Anyway, got a call for a last minute ct scan because someone cancelled. Then they said that I would need to start radiation on the 19th and that was the only time available since the doctor needed to calibrate the machines. Uhm, we will still be in Greece then. So Hans politely (yet firmly) explained the situation and that we bought tickets to distract me from anger and frustration brought on my them. The nurse then managed to find us a new time. So now (if they can do the treatment in Kalmar) I will start radiation the day after I get back from Greece.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Though I usually say you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, but I was definately more vinegar yesterday!
