“6 – 8 months”… “about a year”…
Those were the words that shook us to the core when we first found out about the cc diagnosis of ourselves or a loved one. Since then, life was never the same.
I find that I come to this site more when things are worse for my dad. After reading the posts I always feel a bit better – even when some of the stories make me cry. One thing that definitely is helpful is to read about stories where individuals have blown the statistics out of the water – they definitely give me hope, and I think they do for others as well.
I’ve seen that JeffG is over 8 years and JerryD is at about 7. Any others? Has someone topped that?
I think it would be very helpful to lift the spirits if there was one thread that people could go to in order to see the real success stories.
So if you’re reading this and wouldn’t mind, please respond with how long you’ve been fighting the good fight, what your diagnosis is (e.g. extra or intra; stage; etc.) and what you have done to beat the odds.
Sorry if this is redundant and the thread already exists. If it does already exist, please point the way for some of us “new members.”
Thanks.
