    Hi Jeff,

Sounds like you’re as prepared as you can be for the Taxotere. And, it’s a good reason not to mingle with the Holiday crowds.

Did you have indications from the last time that it was doing the job on the tumors?

Hi G, I think it did a little something. It is a furious and powerful little drug. My left arm,I have to limit my mobilty or #$%^&@ pain. because of some connective tissuse damage. Chemo was the culprit I’m sure.
    Best to Ya!

    Jeff,
You had me in stitches. No experience on the chemo so no advice. Good luck on the new reduced regimen. I can just see your wife worried about the photos. I swear it is so heartening to hear such stuff and that the mundane is still so much a part of all our lives. Take care. And many, many, many thanks for the link to the pbs website on cancer. I have not had a chance to look at it in depth, that is tomorrows project.

Best to you Jeff. You are in our hearts. Dave has had some growth in the smaller tumors he has in his liver and we are going to go to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia in about 10 days to see if they have anything different to offer. So, maybe Dave will be starting on something new soon too. I so hope that it helps both of you.

Saw My Oncologist yesterday. Wants to start me on Taxotere/CPT-11 chemo treatment on Tuesday. Anyone who has experienced this type treatment, any input would be appreciated. I have tried one round of Taxotere back in August early September and it wiped my immune system out within four days, Nutrophenia (sp) and had to do antibiotics and filgrastim injection for a week. Doc agreed to lower dosage this time and have antibiotics and filgrastim in my hands prior to starting. Hair falls out within to weeks and I just got enough back for a Christmas Photo. Wife is making appointment today for pics. Ha! I don’t think she likes the shiny head. I told her no rush as I could wear a Santa hat. Most appropriate I think? I’m not going to diguise my hesitattion as that Taxotere is really high risk especially with liver tumor and use of previous platinum chemos, Well unless someone responds with some awful personal experience, I’m going to press on and give it a whirl. I got my hair clippers all charged up for the hair removal ceremony as I can’t stand waking up with hair in my mouth and eyes. Bluck!
    God Bless,
    Jeff G.
