November 20, 2010 at 11:47 am #41152marylloydSpectatorHi Betsy,
Great news!! Maybe you’ll be completely tubeless too by Christmas! Have a happy Thanksgiving! Take care, MaryNovember 20, 2010 at 3:03 am #41151lainySpectatorBetsy, so you are ‘glueless’ and ‘bagless’ sounds pretty fantastik to me!
November 20, 2010 at 2:05 am #41150marionsModeratorBetsy….that sounds fantastic. No drainage bag, no glue. I am exited right along with you.
Best wishes,
MarionNovember 19, 2010 at 9:45 pm #41149betsySpectatorThe procedure I was supposed to have today (glueing the bile duct) was changed to a tube change and choloangiogram. The drainage output numbers have come down enough that my doctor wants to try capping the bag. I’m excited and scared all at the same time.

November 12, 2010 at 3:08 am #41148marionsModeratorBetsy….good luck on the 19th. You were mentioning a lesser amount of drainige in your bag which makes me wonder, as you have said whether the hole is finally closing up on it’s own. These things do happen and I would love to hear that it happened to you.
Best wishes,
MarionNovember 12, 2010 at 3:06 am #41147marionsModeratorMary….great news on Tom’s stent replacement. Enjoy your time off. It is much deserved.

Yes we are done for now. We do alternative farming-we rent our land, all but 10 acres to “real” farmers. We used to be real farmers then started growing flowers(for drying) now produce and pumpkins and we have greenhouses for plants. I start getting busy again in Feb. I love the time off but miss the income! I’m really glad you’re feeling well. That is what is really important. Tom always said he could take a lot as long as he wasn’t feeling sick or in pain. Let us know how things go on the 19th. I hope things go great for you too. MaryNovember 11, 2010 at 3:14 pm #41144betsySpectatorHi Mary –
Glad to hear Tom is doing well after his procedure. That’s such great news! I hope he continues to feel good. Now he is appointment-free until January, right? Wonderful!I’m still feeling pretty good….still scheduled for procedure on Nov. 19th. The drainage has dropped off a little – who knows, maybe its finally healing. As long as I feel good, I can make peace with the drainage bags. It will be a year this January.
I am a Brown’s fan but must confess I don’t follow them too closely. My husband and son are going to the game this Sunday. They’ll give me the highlights
You have a farm, right? All tucked in for the winter?

November 11, 2010 at 1:13 pm #41142lainySpectatorMary we are so very happy that Tom is doing so well. Now you can enjoy your Thanksgiving!
November 11, 2010 at 11:44 am #41141marylloydSpectatorTom is doing fine after his stent change yesterday. They did put one back in so we didn’t have to worry about problems over the holidays. They’ll probably take that out and leave him stentless in Jan. and will also do colonoscopy then so he will get completely checked out. The ca19 does elevate for colon cancer too so that had me a little worried and I guess the Docs thought it was a good idea too.
Betsy,
I really hope you can get your problems all taken care of as soon as possible. When do you go for your next procedure? I can’t wait to hear you saying you’re “tubeless in Cleveland”. Are you a Browns fan? We’re really excited about their turnaround! My family are all huge Steeler fans so it’s great to finally see the Browns doing something positive.!
Take care, MaryNovember 8, 2010 at 9:41 pm #41140marylloydSpectatorHi Betsy,
Yes we are going Weds. I imagine they will take the 2 he has in,out and put one back in for a few months. He still show signs of blockage as far as his bloodwork goes so I’m actually hoping they do put one in. I really don’t want him to get sick over the holidays. His ca19 has come down to around 2200. That is still very high but at least it’s not 3500!! You’ve got to be grateful for anything positive, as you know!! I hope things go well for you soon too. Wouldn’t it be great to have all of these problems solved before the new year?!! I hope so! Take care, Mary -
