Renee….liver transplantations for extrahepatic CC have been conducted for quite some time now. The criteria is very stringent. This link will lead you to the numerous postings about this subject:

Yes, the University of Maryland has only completed the very first transplant however; there are other institutions with a higher volume of transplantations for this disease much of it based on the Mayo Clinic Liver transplantation protocol.
Our Tiff is recovering from a domino transplant in where the donor received a transplant and then his liver was donated to Tiff. So, things are happening however; the majority of people don’t qualify for this procedure.
The only way to know for sure is to contact a center with a proven track record of successful tansplantations.
    Hugs,
    Marion

I thought that was pretty encouraging and worth a look.
I printed the info for my Onc and he was not impressed as there was only one case. Does anyone know of any further research on this topic?
    Thanks in advance, Renée
