    Dear Charlene,
My heart breaks for all you and John have gone through. I’m glad that both of you have found some peace, but the days ahead won’t be easy. Please know that our best wishes are with you and John and we pray for an easy passing. He is truly a strong and brave man – he’s fought like a champ!

    Dear Charlene,

We are very sorry to hear about John. With you at peace and at his side, I am sure that will help to ease the rest of his journey. What a wonderful decision by him to aid in the research of this terrible disease, you never know he could be the one that helps us all turn the corner. Our prayers go out to you both.

    Charlene,
I have been waiting for your post and I have been thinking about you and John and praying for the two of you everyday. You are being incredibly strong and brave as you always are. I will continue to send you all my love and the best thoughts and prayers.

And yes, John is an incredible and very giving man. I too would be proud of him if I was his wife.

    Big hugs.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted but it’s time.

John is in hospice, according to all the books on the end of life he is probably in his last 2-3 weeks. I want you all to know he is at peace with dying. He has decided to donate his body to science in the hope they might find a cure for the next person. I’m so very proud of him for doing this.

It’s harder now on me I think because he’s starting to get confused, won’t eat for days and then he perks up and wants a crazy meal of eggs, bacon and hash browns. He can’t eat it but I cook it.
If it wasn’t so sad it would be funny.

I’m at peace and feel finally calm about losing him. I know it’s going to be hard but I think I’m finally ready to let him go.

I’ll write again when he passes.

    With love to you all,
    Charlene and John
