Hi Jules, would you mind emailing me at milena1racic@gmail.com? I have some questions about the tea your mom has been using?

    Thanks xoxox

    Hi Jules,

This is great news and thanks for sharing it! Full of energy and eating like a horse, sounds good to me and long may that continue!

My best wishes to you and your mum,

Great news Jules! I did acupuncture all through my treatment and continue it even now. It is a great supplement to traditional treatment and helped me tolerate chemotherapy. I’ve never used tea or herbals, but if it helps I say go for it.

Here’s to continued good luck with treatment.

    Hi Marion,

The supplement, which you take as a tea, twice daily, is called ‘Shi Quan Da Bu Wan’. It’s also know as ‘Jūzen-daiho-tō’, I think. I posted an article about it recently under the ‘complementary medicine’ section and Percy knew a lot about it and has taken it himself.

We didn’t really think it would do much, until we’ve seen the very rapid and noticable improvement in mum’s health.

Jules…fantastic news. It appears that the oncologist agreed to the supplement and I can’t imagine anyone opposing the use of acupuncture either. Which supplements is Mom taking?

Well, I just thought i’d post here, as my poor old mum has had a continious stream of bad news since they found a liver mass in Feb this year. Since then, her appetite has been dreadful, her weight has dropped dramatically, and she’s felt exhausted most of the time.

She recently started her first round of chemo and, just to add to the misery, her already low platelets dropped through the floor – preventing her from having her second dose.

But, we set in to action, knowing that we needed to do something, and we got mum to see a Chinese herbalist. For all of those sceptics out there (and I admit, I was one of them just a few weeks ago), the treatment seems to have transformed mum’s health.

She had acupuncture to improve her appetite (her stomach gurgled all through the appointment) and is now taking a Chinese supplement to combat the effects of chemo. Since then, she’s absolutely full of energy, eating like a horse, and she looks and seems back to normal mum, who we all adore. Oh, and her platelets are now back within the normal range (higher than they have been since the beginning)…

Even our very miserable Oncologist admitted today, that she is a little surprised at the turn-around.

So, for today, we are all smiling :)
