Where in the Canaries did you go, Kris? I’m glad you had a good time. Did you try the canarian potatoes? I found them too salty, personally, but I know they’re extremely popular.

The fish, though – that I love!! :D

    Kris,

Glad the two of you had a great time in the Canaries, even if you didn’t eat your weight in Greek food!

    Best wishes

Great to hear that you had a good time and the weather was perfect for you and Hans. Can you make up the rest in the food department with eating at a Greek Restaurant?

We ended up in the Canary Islands instead of Greece and it was wonderful. Perfect weather. Swam in the ocean (oh how I have missed that!) and saw one or two very special churches. Felt good most of the time and it was definately great for Hans and I to get away from it all. It is important for us to be a couple once in awhile, not just a cancer patient and her husband.

Only regret is that I missed out on eating my weight in Greek food.

    Kris,

The title of your post made me think of my mom, she loved the song “What a Difference a Day Makes,” made famous by Dinah Washington, and I am really glad she introduced me to her music. I took her to a play about Dinah’s life and it was kind of funny because apparently Dinah was a little foulmouthed (and very feisty!) and my mom said she liked the play but could have done without all the swearing.

The song is beautiful and her voice is just lovely, you can listen here if you need a new theme song:

It’s romantic to boot, tell Hans to give you a “thrilling kiss,” put “romance on your menu,” and have a fabulous second honeymoon!
