    Hi Michael,

Sorry to hear about your wife. How old is she? The people on this board are the nicest people I’ve ever chatted with. They will not only give you their support, but they seem to have a wealth of information.
My thoughts are with you and your wife,

    Sandy

Hi, my relative is 3 years post resection but recently has experienced elevated CA19-9 and questionable shadow/soft tissue appearance on scan around the portal vein.

He does not want to do chemo/radiation and is going back on Vit C IV (which he had done post surgery.

I have been exploring other alternative approaches – one of which is feverfew which has been shown to promote apoptosis on cc cells.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

    Hi Michael,

I know exactly what you are saying when you say you feel so helpless. I lost my younger sister to this terrible disease. I really wish I would have found this board, back when she was diagnosed. There is so much knowledge and support here. We didn’t know where to begin when we heard the diagnosis. Stay strong for your wife, but don’t forget about yourself. My thoughts are with you and your wife!

Hopefully we can take some of the helplessness away, we are a very helpful and supportive group. If you have specific questions go ahead and ask. There are some people really in the know here, I think there are 5 or 6 here that are more in the know than my doctor!

I am sure you are being a complete rock for your wife, which can be emotionally draining. I didnt know how hard it was on the “healthy” one until my husband and I had a joint session with my psychologist and he broke down in tears over his fear of losing me. He is always so strong to my face. So, we all know that it is tough and if you just need to have a little rant or some encouragement we are here too.

Sorry you had to join our little club, but you did will not find a nicer group…too bad it is such terrible circumstances.

How is your wife doing? What can we do to help?
