The leaking was limited to one evening, so we are okay now. It did not bother her skin. Thank you for your suggestions. You are all angels for us! We are waiting for Mayo and Memorial Sloan to see if they have anything to offer. Our immediate goal is to regain the 20 pounds she lost (now at 110) and some strength from lying in a hospital bed for 5 weeks. We are working with a naturopath and considering the Gem chemo. The medical prognosis remains at 6 months but we will see if we can slow this cancer down. If we can travel later, we will go to Lourdes and continue praying for a miracle.

JeffYes it is leaking on the outside. Bile is leaking from point where the drainage tube leaves her body and runs to the bag. There is a sealing bandage on top of this exit point but the bile drips along the tube and sneaks out. What kind of gel did you use?
The onc today says we can try Gem only, as my wife is too fragile for anything else. At best they say we might get two more months. He says she is borderline for this treatment and there is a 10% chance of death from the chemo. I am inclined to maximize quality and comfort but my frail wife appears to want to try the chemo. I just doing know how we can make these types of decisions. I wish that the onc would have said yes or no. But, I know we are beyond wishes. My wife is 53, 117 pounds, and she has stopped losing weight now that she is in hospital. She is nauseas and can’t walk very far. I just can’t see her making it through chemo.
