Barb- you can email me at dslbelle@yahoo.com and I will give you a run down of the procedure if you like.

Tom- sirspheres are in resin beads, and theraspheres are in glass beads. The quantity fo the dose is different also. I have had two doses of sirs and 1 of thera- the reduction of my liver tumor is phenominal! My tumor started in my bile duct and spilled out onto my liver and was a giant mass. Depending on size and location, it has been known to make some eligible for a resection! It is only liver mets and tumors

sounds like your 10 year old is angry with the disease! Who can blame him-that’s his aprent it si messing with! It also sounds like you could use a break! I understand- it is all on your plate right now. Find a way to have your kid help you out. He cna help make the meals that fight the cancer, soemthing! Maybe if he feels less helpless, he will be calmer.

Hi! I am not on here too much- but I just want to say-liver tumors can be fought. I was diagnosed 02/07 with advanced cholangiocarcinoma with a large inoperable tumor on the liver. Well, thanks to Sir-sheres, The tumor is almost completley dead. My last pet scan showed only 2 little dots of activity. I feel great, I have not had any chemo yet, this has been my first line of defense. If you ahve questions, you can vist the yittrium y90 site and see for yourselves.

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 10 – Treatment of inoperable liver metastases from colorectal cancer with radioembolization of the tumors using yttrium-90 microspheres, added to standard chemotherapy, is safe, well tolerated and had a 90% response rate in a phase I trial conducted at the University of Oxford, UK.

Great message Jeff- do you think one thing worked better than others? Was there a particular chemo that had the best results?
