Hi Pauline, (and everyone else, too) :)

Glad to see your post and want to let you know that it is amazing that everything you said is exactly how I have been feeling, too. All of it! Stick with the reading, I was the same way, but have been able to concentrate a little longer of late. I do read a little light fiction, but tend to lean towards those same subjects as you.

It really is hard to imagine that the world can go on without our husbands in it. It really is not fair, but I guess life isn’t fair. So, we carry on day by day keeping busy and not dwelling too much on the future. Just know you are not alone in your thoughts and feelings. You have helped me so much and I hope I have been a little bit of help to you too along the way.

I hope everyone else is doing OK. I too think of you all so often. Everyone take care.

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla

    Hi Xepalomero,

I have been following your posts and have nothing to add to the good info you have been getting from the others, but wanted to add my welcome to the others and add that I too feel she needs to be seen as soon as possible. Do let us know how it goes.

I will be hoping the same. Yes, those songs and important dates will bring the sadness to the surface. More prayer’s going out for Michele.

Thanks for the suggestion Rick. I checked it out and it makes me feel connected and a part of things even tho’ I can’t be there.

    Kris,

Sorry you have had to deal with all of this incompetancy. Don’t they realize that time is of the essence in these cases or don’t they really care about the patient??????? I am glad that you and Hans have taken things into your own hands and are moving forward. It will mean a lot of inconvenince, but you are right, you can’t wait. Yes it stinks, but hopefully it will all work out and you will be back in Kalmar with Hans, your kitties and your friends and doing well in no time at all. Good luck to you and keep us posted. We all care and want to know how you are doing. I will be thinking of you.

    Love & Hugs,

    Hi Emily’s StepMom,
Glad to have you join our wonderful family. Not that any of us planned to or wanted to be here, but it is the best place to come when dealing with this type of cancer. There is a whole lot of info here, so if you have any concerns try using the search function or ask and someone will be here to help you out. Please keep posting and let us know how things are going. Everyone here is so helpful and supportive. Once you all regroup, if you can post more information, maybe we can be of some help. My best to all of you and I will be hoping that it will be years.

Yes, nk it is hard. Some days are harder than others, but we just do the best we can. Do reach out for help & support when you feel the need and keep coming back here, too. I don’t think the feelings of sadness and loss every truely go away, but it does get better. With time we learn how to live with it all. With Love & Hugs, Darla

Kris, So sorry about this latest turn of events. Yes, I think it is time for you to catch a break. I think you may want to think about Lainy’s suggestion. I guess we just can’t count on these doctors knowing what needs to be done, so we need to remind them! :)

Lainy, I too love your marvelous sense of humor.

Lisa, That sounds exciting. This is also one of my sister’s favorite shows. I am sure she would love to be able to do what you are doing. That really is “good news”! Have a great time and let us know all about it when you get back. Darla

    Lainy,

I’m glad Kathy brought this up. It was good to get an update on you both. Hope the appointment at the ONC goes well and there are no more unnecessary developments. I’ll be watching for the next up date after your appointment.

Love & Hugs to you both.
