Good to hear from you. Glad to hear that Tom is feeling great. Sorry I have no answers for you on this, but am hoping it is just another bump in the road. I’m sure there are others who will chime in with help soon. Please update us when you can as to the results of the pet scan etc. Thinking of you and hoping all goes well.

I am so sorry to hear that your mother-in-law Joan has passed away. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. Try to take some comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering or in pain. She sounds like a wonderful, adventurous lady who lived her life to the fullest. Her thoughtfulness in registering in the Mayo studies and also mentioning Cholangiocarcinoma in her obituary are greatly appreciated. My thoughts are with all of you at this sad and trying time.

I am glad to hear that you are now in contact with your aunt and cousin and that after talking with them you are feeling better and have some hope for the future . Hoping you are a good fit with the new therapist and that it works out and is also helpful to you. Just take things day by day, one day at a time. Take care of yourself and slowly you will begin to feel better. Keep your mom close to you by holding her in your heart and all the lovely memories you have of her.

I know what you are saying. I too wish the word Cholangiocarcinoma was used more than just “liver cancer”, but do agree with the others that the awareness is just not always there. At least not at first. Hope you had a nice 4th and are having a good weekend.Love,

DarlaDuke, I agree. No surprises there. I wasn’t surprised to see that the highest incidence at this point is in the 60-69 age group.
