Stable is great news. My Mom’s first evaluation was stable and her next evaluation three months later showed ALL tumors shrunk 50%. Hopefully your sister will be on the same path.
Prayers and good vibes your way!!dawnaSpectatorAmazing news! Thank you for sharing and may good reports like that be the norm for you. Good news like this enables me to be hopeful for my Mom. I will share your story with her.
dawnaSpectatorCongratulations!! Here’s to an infinite amount of cancer free scans.
Everytime I get discouraged about my Mom’s illness, I find hope in the what is working part of this board. It is my safe place.
Keep up the great work!!

dawnaSpectatorAs soon as I heard the good news about my Mom, I immediately thought about all of you and how anything is possible. I really believe the battle can be won. Keep on fighting everyone!!
dawnaSpectatorGot my family on board for the tape recorder.
Mom has a treatment today. Hopefully her levels will continue to be as encouraging as they have been.
Next Thursday is big scan day. April fools day..
Positive energy all around.
Safety in numbers..dawnaSpectatorThank you all so much, first for your prayers and second for your suggestions. I will try the tape recorder route. Hopefully the doctor will be on board for that.
Also, do you know if there is a play back for today’s webinar? I really wanted to listen in, but had to work.

dawnaSpectatorThanks for your quick reply. My Mom is 63 and is being treated at Moffit in Florida with consult from the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. She came to NY for treatment, had a consult at Sloan, had the surgery done in North Shore Universtiy on Long Island and I have been in touch with an Angel/Doctor at Mt. Sinai in NY. All the docs were in agreement for her initial treatment.
My step father is her main caregiver but my sister is also there. I will try to conference in on the next visit. Hopefully it can be done.
Her tumor in the bile duct was 1.2 cm but I am not sure how many spots were in the liver.March 22, 2010 at 12:56 am in reply to: curious…anyone taking cholesterol meds been diagnosed with cc? #30658dawnaSpectatorMy Mom was diagnosed in November and she had been on cholesterol meds for several years, at least 10. I too have questioned the connection as it seems suspect. Will pass along any information I will find.
dawnaSpectatorSuzanne,
I am new to the board, and don’t know you at all, but I am so truly happy for you.
Feel great and looking forward to hearing more wonderful news from you in the future.
Best Wishes,
DawndawnaSpectatorHello,
Thanks for the referral for Dr. Schwartz at Mt. Sinai. I am dropping off the scans tomorrow and will follow up with the reports from the hospital on LI.
DawndawnaSpectatorThank you for all of your support. I am certainly able to regroup and and draw stength from all of your prayers and good wishes. We began taking action, made phone calls and will not stop until we get somewhere.
I also have access to Vanderbilt in Nashville. Anyone have experience there?
Love,
DawndawnaSpectatorThank you for responding and for the advice. I feel as if I know many of the members on the board as everyone is enduring the same pain. Can’t let it slow you down though. Knowledge is power and I have been searching for information since we suspected the diagnosis. It is encouraging that there is hope and it is also encouraging that many members have been able to halt the progression. I am sure I will have many questions and will need help along the way. I am praying I can discover something along the way that can help others on this board. Miracles happen right?
