I think she should eat what she feels like eating if it is givinig her enough calories. By this stage the feeling of not enjoying what is left to enjoy is probably worse than any damage bad food can do. Just my opinion as a patient.

    Lisa,
Doctor decided my pain was part of urinary tract infection. Just to toss out another option for others who have some problem and reading this thread.

And HELLO Irene. I havent seen you here in awhile. Hope you are doing ok.

One cause of dark stools is slower transit time in the intestines. If your digestive tract hasnt gone back to normal, that could be a cause. Plus, some medicines slow down the digestion process.

Uhhhhhh, sorry about that Mr J. You would think there would be more of a team approach to patient care. Good luck on MRI.

Well I’ll be a monkeys uncle. I have never heard of a fungus causing such problems. We learn something new everyday. Thanks for sharing.

Glad his medications are back on schedule and he is getting better. Hopefully that pain is getting under control. Are you going to have to sit on him to make him eat all his meals? My nurses used to guilt me by saying “Your husband would want you to eat. Take a couple of bites for him…if not I will tell on you”

    Hope he is homw soon.

My dietician after my surgery wanted me to add butter, oil and cream to everything. There is also a powder you can add to soups that increase calorie content. I think it should be at most nutrician stores since I think body builders use it. I also put on tons of weight when I went on steroids. I even gained over 20 lbs while on chemo!

    Hi Lainy,
Glad you are back and had a wonderful time with the family. We will give you a couple of days to catch your breath and get your feet on the ground…but not to many you hear. You were missed.

Love to both you and Teddy.

Glad to hear the good news about the scan. Hope they figure out the infection or whatever is causing problems.

Sally what wonderful news. Information is key with this cancer. It is good that you are taking the time to research and find out more. Surgery is the only known cure for cc so if she has a shot at it, imo that seems like the best shot.

Brachytherapy gets good results too, and my bestfriend who is an oncologist really wanted me to have it, but I did not qualify for it. If you search the forum for brachytherapy there should be lots of information.

I am so happy for you. Good news indeed. Good thing I told Sue to skootchy over to make room on the cancer free wagon. I knew more people would be joining her. May the clean scans continue.
