Thank you so much for the support. Honestly right now it’s the waiting! But dad is feeling good, he’s working, he’s working out, staying strong and has a great mental attitude!

    I’ll keep you posted!

I think Lu has set up an appointment with the Mayo and I have a friend of a friend who works at the Mayo and is looking into the treatment protocols for us. I’ve heard that about starting any kind of treatment and my dad hasn’t had nor will he have a needle biopsy. So the next couple weeks we’ll keep finding more information and keep plugging away. It’s confusing but thank you to everyone it does help if anything makes us ask more questions.

Will keep you posted on what today’s surgeon says.

Thank you for responding. I did try the search and found a few other articles. It’s more of just trying to wrap my brain around it. Which as you know in any real way is almost impossible. When people say this one is tricky they’re not lying.

    Thanks again.

Thank you Lainy you are 100% correct we can’t dwell just push forward. I’m just happy to have the appointment for my daddy and get him started on treatment and start the fight. Good thoughts to everyone and thank you again for the support, experiences and suggestions it really does help more than I would have ever thought.

    Hi Holly Sue,
I am so sorry that you had that happen, I feel like it’s exactly the same thing that is happening to my dad. We keep trying to get him in sooner for appointments but still nothing’s coming up and we still have no concrete answers or treatment plan. But we’re still plugging away every day.

This site is wonderful everyone on here is amazing, welcoming and helpful sorry you had to find it but it’s becoming an invaluable resource.

All the best to you and your mama.

Thank you to everyone who has responded to our post. I will keep trying to get an earlier appointment for my father. Although when I called Dr. Gold they didn’t have openings until Feb 5th which is basically the weekend before his next appointment. Has anyone heard of Dr. Kaplan?

    Positive thoughts to all!

My father has a tumor and has been told it is more than likely Cholangiocarcinoma although it is taking weeks to get a proper diagnosis. Can someone tell me their experience in getting a proper diagnosis and getting in for tests? We saw a gastroenterologist yesterday to get schedule for an endoscopic ultrasound and FNA but it is 3 weeks out. This sounds ridiculous since the tumor was first found on Jan 2nd.
