I have been on Xeloda now for 8 months, for a whi;le in combination with Oxylaplatin, and it has been quite effective. Xeloda converts to FU-5 in the body.

I haveen on Xeloda alone for almost 3 months–I was also on Oxaliplatin but came off it due to neuropathy> I have had stable cancer markers and some tumor shrinkage. It is working for me too.

After 7 months on Oxy, the neuopathy got so bad–no feeling in my hands to the second knuckle–they had to take me off it. I am still on Xeloda, which I tolerate very well, on its own. Good luck!

xeloda and oxy are working like crazy for me. My ca 19-9 levels are down from 508 to 208 over 6 months. The neuropathy is definitely an issue but I am coping because I have had no tumor growth and some shrinkage. Everyone’s cancer is different but it is working for me

I have taken a combo of Oxaliplatin and the X (6 pills twice daily) and it is working loike crazy. MY CA19-9 is down from 508 to 200 after 8 rounds. THe fatigue stinks and the neuropathy is not much better, I can’t argue with the results.

I have now had 8 rounds of Oxy and Xeloda (12 PILLS A DAY)and the cumulative fatigue and neuropathy is more profound but I am still working part time. Hanging tough, my CA 19-9 levels have reduced from 508 to 208. So it is encouraging.

I took three rounds of Gemzar and Cysplatin–which did not help–and I tolerated those very well. I am currently on Oxy (day 1) and Xeloda (Twice daily for Day 1 through 14). Like Michael I am experiencing coldness of extremities, exhaustion, dry hands and bruised feet. The Xeloda tends to turn my stomach unless I drink a boatload of water.

After two days home, I can function and return to my office job and live a relatively normal life even if I am not the energizer bunny and need to rest regularly.
