Marion – thank you for such a truly inspiring post. I hate my reason for having heard of cc, but I’m so immensely proud to be part of this amazing group of people.

Lainy – “gutsy little broad” – :D. I love it!! [What does BFF stand for? I’m not good with these acronyms]

Thank you, Darla & Lainy. Susan’s getting bored in hospital, now, which I find a reassuring sign. The hospital she’s in is a general medical hospital, not her usual specialist one & they’ve said they can’t make assumptions like specialists have the expertise to do, so they’re doing all the tests they can possibly come up with, even if they turn out to be unnecessary. I think she’s being very well cared for :)

Lainy, thanks – I forgot about the “Sensitive” warning. I can’t edit the heading but have edited the start of the posting.

Dearest Andie, I do so feel for you. You are doing all you can do & you can’t do anything more. She’s hurting &, sadly, can’t see how much you’re hurting, too. I have experience of similar reactions – although in different circumstances – & all I could do was do my best to let it wash over me. Sometimes I could, & sometimes I couldn’t.

No, you don’t now how she feels but she doesn’t know how you feel either. Please try not to feel guilty about having someone at home when she doesn’t. She is so lucky to have such a wonderfully loving daughter &, when she’s ready to let go & grieve, I know you’ll be there for her & I know how lucky she’ll be to have you then, too.

But YOU need to have time & space to grieve, too. Go to Florida & relax with your husband & son. I hope you have a wonderful time. You need to build up your strength for yourself & your two boys & then you’ll have strength to support your mum again.

    Lots of love

Your co-worker’s comment must have hurt you a lot, Terry. Grrrrrrr to such insensitive people.

Both, Gavin!! Your shower head (bought from a non-spammer, of course) & Rick’s boot should work wonders :-D

Suzanne – thank you, thank you for keeping us in touch with Kris with such a wonderful post. When you wrote the quote above, it made me feel I was actually there – as one of the many people who never met Kris but knew her through her posts & miss her very much.

Andrea, this is a gorgeous poem!! I’ve never heard of it before but it struck such chords.

    Thank you for posting it.

You are amazing, Hans – I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but your light touch & humour bring a bitter-sweetness to an awful situation. Please keep “bumping” this thread to the top as often as you can – it certainly helps me cope with the day-to-day realities. I just hope it helps you as much as it helps me (&, I hope the rest of us, too).
