    Hi everyone
Hope all are well etc.I am not too bad, considering all the memories thrown up at this time.I was stressing quite a bit about xmas but now have it sorted. The boys and I will go to the novotel in Wollongong for our xmas meal.A bit pricey but easy and we avoid worrying about the family in Sydney, they can sort themselves out.
My sister is coming down from Queensland,1st time she has travelled since xmas last year when she was diagnosed with 2 types of cancer. My youngest son finished school a couple of weeks ago.I t has been a big year to get through.
Thankyou all my friends here for your help and friendship Janet xx

Kristi, you are doing well and how wonderful for your sister and her family that you can offer that support.I had virtually none, and managed to get it from this board, good luck to you ,I think your sisters situation is quite serious,I think you should be prepared and say everything you need to Janet

I think what happens is you do the home thing with the option to go into the Roxburgh House kept up your sleeve because it all depends on how things go and what symptoms manifest. The only thing for sure is that your dad doesnt wind up in an acute hospital bed, that is always to be avoided. But home with support and a good palliative care hospital are both good options Janet

Cyndi,I too had an odd experience.I had 3 birds come into the house during the night. Not all at the same time!a few weeks apart. The 1st two were smaller birds but the 3rd one was an owl and it flew in and through the house and perched on my bedside table, then we shooed it out-this was around 3am.
I have never had birds come into the house at night before, even during the day it is rare, these ocurrences happened a couple of months after Joel died and it is only now that I reflect on it and think ??? Janet

Could that be from dexamethasone? They often give it for a few days after chemo and it gives the energy but can cause sleep problems too Janet

    Hi to all
How are you all?I have been busy with family issues,Alastair is almost finished his final exams,1 more to go and the broken thumb is doing well. Many more family dramas going along concurrently. For me it has been an unbelievable year, life did not let up just because we were all grieving.
I wanted to say what a great group of people you have been and that you really made a difference to my life so thanks for being there Janet

I too am sad to hear that John has gone although it had seemed close.I also read his blog and felt such regret that a young guy had to experience such suffering. My condolences to his family Janet
