    Dear ADRW,

I am sorry to hear about your poor, dear Patrick. I understand what you mean when you say he is way too young. My daughter, Lauren, also has this terrible cancer and she is only 25. I also understand when you say you have hope. That is one thing Lauren and I have and will never lose. We will never give up hope that one day there will be a cure. We will never give up hope that one day Lauren will be able to have surgery. We will never give up hope that she will live a long and happy life. I wish the same for your Patrick. Take care and God bless.

    Love, Pam

    Hi Percy,

We live about a mile away from an old landfill. We do not have well water though. We get our water from a nearby city.

You will not feel alone once you start voicing your feelings on this site. We are all family and are here to help any way we can. I am so sorry you have had to face such hard times with your family. It seems like too much for one person to bear. I will pray for you and your family. I know it is hard to watch someone with this cancer. I have a daughter who is 25 that was unlucky enough to be diagnosed with it. Doctors told us at first that she was having pain from bad posture and needed physical therapy. Many others on this site were not diagnosed for a long time after their symptoms first started. It is just so uncommon that doctors don’t even think of it. I am hoping for a miracle for your brother. Please take care and best of luck to you and your brothers.

    Hi FirEeyore,

Welcome to the site. To answer your question, my daughter, Lauren, age 25 was diagnosed with CC in Aug 2011. Her largest tumor was 17cm. x14cm.
She has had 10 rounds of chemo. Gem/Cis and 5-FU. Since then her tumor has shrunk to 13cm. x 11cm. She also has 5 tumors on the other side, the largest was 2cm. It has shrunk to under 2cm. and most of the others are invisible on an MRI.So chemo is working for her. So 10cm. is large but not the largest!! I have never heard of anyone having a tumor as large as Lauren’s. She is doing pretty well actually. She is not near as sick as many on this sight. Might have something to do with her being young. I am not a doctor, but I sure do think some kind of treatment would be better than no treatment. Take care and I am always willing to answer any questions you may have. Take care and good luck.

    -Pam
