Thanks so much everyone for quick responses to my introduction. I have been on other sites and I have hardly gotten any response. I have a wonderful family that have kept me encouraged along the way. I have a loving wife and three children who are married and five grandchildren. Peggy mentioned Dr. Reid Adams at UVA. He was my surgeon and I was real pleased with him. I just wish I could have gotten the larger tumor out. Before surgery I was on Gem/Cis and that stuff liked to have killed me. I truly thought that if this was the way the rest of my life was to be let’s just get it over with. The Xeloda/Gemzar is better, but I still have my days. My oncologist keeps mentioning a break, but I have not seen one yet. I guess I’m supposed to ask for it? I have been planning weekend getaways on my off Chemo weeks, but I’m still tired. My wife and I are seeing the things that we never got to before. Time seems much more precious. We have been married nearly 40 yrs, but we are closer now than ever. Thanks again for your comments, thoughts and prayers.
