No, that is very helpful. And I do appreciate you answering me. I know her blood work showed she is very anemic and they did prescribe her these iron pills.
Hey, I am not sure I know what cancer you have. Or how bad. But I am one of those people who find it really hard to believe in miracles. I mean when you say that you have seen them happen on this site, would they be people who have had Stage 4 Bile Duct Cancer that is in the lymph nodes and bones? I don’t mean to be negative but I am really losing hope.
Again thanks for your support and help on answering my questions.
tanolandMemberDo any of you know if they will do chemotherapy if she is anemic. She is very anemic and has been for a long time. And she is refusing to take her iron pills.
tanolandMemberThank you for your help. They did talk about putting the port in. And that made me happy for her. Her chemo is Gemzar mixed with something else. She is weak physically and I am so worried for her. If she doesn’t get chemo, there is no other treatment for her. And then we just give up I guess.
It’s so frustrating. But I do appreciate your advice.
tanolandMemberMy poor sister has not even started any treatment yet. After getting diagnosed a month ago, she spent a week at the Mayo Clinic. She sees her doctor tomorrow to determine when they will start Chemo.
They said that it is too far gone to even consider radiation and the Mayo Clinic agreed. It is also in her lymph nodes.
I feel so dumb when it comes to this stuff. We didn’t even know she had cancer until 6 weeks ago and last night she was in severe pain from this tumor on her liver. I hate the waiting and waiting and waiting. I am just ready to start treatment.
I just have this horrible feeling that she won’t last that long. And I am really scared.
tanolandMemberMy sister’s has spread to her bones and lymph nodes? Was your husband the same way? How is his health today? Thanks for responding.
tanolandMemberMy sister just got back from the Mayo Clinic and after her tests they sent her home and told her to start her Chemo treatments that K.U. Medical suggested. How long can somebody live with this? Any advice?
tanolandMemberFrom what I can recall from the awful doctor’s visit with my sister that day, She said that radiation was also not an option due to it being toxic with chemo and that her bones were unstable.
I do appreciate your response and your words of hope. I am sure as you know any positive comments are welcome. She is my very best friend and I have to do whatever I can to keep her with me as long as I can. I feel so desperate.
Again, thank you so very much!
