I read your post with sadness as I too just lost my husband and best friend. He fought this disease for 7 months. I have an 11 y.o. daughter Hannah. We have held onto each these past 2 days. It still seems unreal to me. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Beth – I feel the pain you are going through and it is compounded by the fact that your daughter is hurting also. I lost my husband to cc on January 29, 2011. I am so sorry for the loss you have experienced. I can only pray that God will give you peace and comfort for the moments, days, weeks, months ahead. Blessings, Susan

Dear Beth,
I often described Dave to my wife as the friend I had never met. Along with many others, I’ve followed your and Dave’s journey both here and on caring bridge. I feel a connection that’s difficult for me to understand. I feel loss.

The Bible talks of God becoming a husband to the widows and a father to the fatherless. May God Himself make it so.

Oh Beth I didn’t want to see this…..

Dave was so incredibly strong and he fought a valiant fight. He was so blessed to have you by his side the entire way. Daddies have such a special bond with their daughters and Maycie had one of the best. She will be a wonderful legacy that he leaves behind.

I’m sending prayers for strength, tons of love and hugs to you and your family.

My heart is breaking for you….
