The blood work and urinanalysis all came back normal, but as we have seen there is probably still something going on. Waiting to hear back from the dr about the next step. Probably an ERCP.
Lainy, Mom was asleep during the first ERCP, but she got so sick afterwards. They had to do it two times because the first time the duct was so swollen. She felt crummy going into this the first time, so I am sure that played into it.
Can cancer come back into the bile duct? The surgeon told us originally that it wouldn’t come back because she has all new bile ducts.
So many questions…………

Took Mom to the dr today for blood work and unrianalysis (not sure if that is spelled correctly). I am sure that we will know more tomorow.

I am glad to hear that your Mom did call the doctor. I agree with everyone else that these are issues to be concerned about. In my husband’s case, nothing showed up anywhere until he had a liver biopsy and PET Scan. He did have some slight itching and urine darker than normal by this time. The only other symptom I recall is that for a few months before all of this started, his legs were bothering him & they could find no reason for it. Keep in touch & let us know how things are going. I will be hoping for the best.

Sorry Amy, but dark urine, itching, something needs to be tended to. Did they not put her to sleep with the ERCP? Please let us know what happens.

Mom has a call into the oncologist. I KNOW that she isn’t going to want to have another ERCP done. She had a terrible time with the first one.
I will let you know what we find out. My stomach is in knots.

Amy….itching and dark urine definitely should be reported to the physician. I would make an appointment, asap.
I would be worried too. Perhaps you should ask for an ercp? My tumors never showed up in the bloodwork or on scans. I hope it is nothing.

Has anyone experienced this….. Mom is itching and has dark urine. As many of you know she had successful resection in November 2006. They have found a couple of cancerous lymph nodes recently, but they are very very small. Mom’s last cat scan was on April 14th. The dr also did blood work and everything came back okay. I am just really worried!!!!!!
