MarionMarch 27, 2010 at 6:50 pm #36797devoncatSpectatorThings are going pretty well. Kris has been moved to our home town hospital, and is up and walking quite a bit, so we’re hoping to have her home in just a few days. She’s still not eating very much though, and the pain comes and goes with the morphine. I’m staying the nights with her and her parents have the run of our flat. Thanks again for all the good thoughts and prayers!

your story brought back memories of my wifes aborted surgery at mt. sinai hospital in new york. from the surgery is out but dont give up on it yet to the panties…..i guess now its funny but then it wasnt….it was days before i could wash or change her…she wasnt a happy camper…but once we got over the disappointment of the no go surgery and got her washed and also put a pair of panties on her(SHE WAS NAKED FROM THE WAIST DOWN FOR DAYS)she said she felt like everyone was taking a peek at her including me,combed her hair she began to feel human again….we know the disappointment that you both feel, it stinks (i know a better word) because it has happened to us…..true it is a let down but you are staying positive and focused on her care thats all you can do……take care of her and yourself…..positive vibes and prayers coming your way,,,,,,lucille and ron
March 26, 2010 at 2:42 am #36791daddysgirl-2MemberKeeping you and Kris in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for the updates. I’m sure you will both be more comfortable once you are back in your hometown, and definitely in your own home.
Sending hugs and peaceful thoughts from northern Minnesota~

I’m so glad that Kris got to have clean panties! After all, that IS important for a woman! Your post about the panties gave me a good laugh. I can remember when Tom was in the hospital, he couldn’t wait to get out of the hospital big boy pants (What they called PJ bottoms) and get into his own sweats and jeans.
I know that you and Kris will not give up and will keep searching for answers or procedures that will work, just like Tom and I are doing!
Go with God, and KEEP KICKIN’ THAT cancer.

DarlaMarch 25, 2010 at 12:58 pm #36787lainySpectatorDearest Hans & Kris, thank you for the update. You are both so very special and I would say that Kris’s flowers are not the only ones blooming! You both have such a magical, powerful love between you and about you and that love makes everyone feel that you both can keep blooming. Simply put, you are awesome! Please give Kris our love and not a day goes by that we are not thinking of the two of you!
March 25, 2010 at 12:25 pm #36786cherbourgSpectatorOh Hans,
Thank you so much for taking not only the time to update us but to allow us the privilege to peek into the loving world you and Kris inhabit.
You both are such an inspiration to so many. Give yourselves some time (and permission) to process this disappointment. Remember the two of you are surrounded by family and friends, all of whom are praying and wishing the best for you. Take some time, gather your strength and prepare for the next battle.
We are all holding you close.
Hugs, prayers and “buckets of hope”!
Pam
