I’m delighted things went so well and here hoping for more good news when you get the path report.

    Nice one

Well, just got back to NJ Sat from having a small adeno carcenoma removed Wed afternoon from my rt lung at NY Presbyterian. Dr Josh Sonett was the surgeon and he’s pretty sure he got it all. Now’s just to wait for the final path report. I’m hoping for a new lung primary and no cc mets. We’ll know in a week to 10 days. Surgery was totally unremarkable and recovery a piece of cake. Just some swelling and soreness at the incision site and the garden hose drain hole.

Just another bump in the cancer road!

Heading home to MD in a few hours.

    Kris,

Have a great time at the benefit. Just remember all of us will be there with you in spirit. I sure would have loved to go and so would Lauren. We love Kim and Denise. Please give them a hug from us. They are two awesome ladies! I am sure they will welcome you warmly. I don’t think either one of them has ever known a stranger. They make friends with you the second they talk to you. Have fun and have a great time.

    Love, -Pam

Thank you Jim and Cathy. I will accept as graciously as possible. Which in my case is hard, as I’m so darned independent!
I don’t like this stupid condition as I have to rely on friends to help me… and that’s hard for me to do! But I’m trying to learn.
So thank you and barring bad snowfall I will give Kim and Denise a hug for you. :D

Lisa, I’m just not going to worry. I know I’m in good hands that are guided by God.

Hey, I wasn’t asking! I just wondered if I would meet anyone there that I “know”. I haven’t even met Kim or Denise yet.
But if you want to mail me a donation I will get it to Kim or Denise. Better yet, if they have easily mailable prizes I’ll put you in for them! :)
I’m a pretty happy, semi-outgoing person, but going there alone… well… that will take some thought from me.

Kim knows your coming and you don’t need a ticket! She knows to look for the tall one! No donation needed, nor expected, but you must show up. I’m sure the crowd of S Pilly Italians will welcome you with open arms. Plus Kim and D are now expecting you.

I wish I could, but, Kris, you are going. I’ll pickup the other half. Give Kim and D hugs and kisses.

Kris-I would love to split the cost with you!! I am out of “drop by range”, but I would love to help our CC angel Kim and all she does! If you email me your address I will send my share. I hope you will let me help.
Jim-I have my surgery on Tuesday and my mass is 7mm. I just keep hearing my doctor say “Your cancer is so aggressive, we would expect it to come back more aggressive”, those are my words of comfort. Barnes is #9 in the nation, so like your hospital, is on top of and very aggresive in my care. I knew my cat scan find before I made it home that day, and it will be 2 weeks from finding to consult t osurgery!! My doctor also said couple of days in hospital, but the last time I woke up 3 weeks later with a new liver!!! LOL!!
    Lots of prayers-Cathy

Are you going to the fund raiser on Sunday? It’s a little expensive for me, but I’m thinking of going. (I realize $50 isn’t much, but it’s my week’s food charges!!)

I’m thinking discharge 3/9 or 10, barring any problems, Kris. For the last surgery, they kept me over a weekend, BC they didn’t have a single room. I had MRSA in 2001 following cardiac surgery, and Columbia’s policy now is I can only have a single room and they can’t discharge a patient from the ICU!

It would be very nice to meet you … if we can’t work it in NYC, then maybe Phila with Kim and my wife. One way or another, we’ll make it work.

    Jim:
I am so happy you have found all these doctors who you love so much and have so much faith in! I am sorry you have to go thru another bump in the roller coaster journey, but happy that you and your doctors are so certain of your next steps.
I also hope for a non-cc related mass. But I’m hoping it’s benign!! Second place, I hope it’s a primary… always hoping the cc hasn’t spread.
Maybe if I end up in NY around the 10th or so I’ll stop in and meet you and your wife! If I’m at the main hospital for S.K. it isn’t far.

They all never cease to amaze me. They have a huge, gaudy, red and white banner that hangs over Ft. Washington Avenue which proclaims AMAZING THINGS ARE HAPPENING HERE and it’s true!

Jim, I read it the way you do and I agree your care has been above excellent!! You have to be an amazing man as apparently the Medical team loves you as much as you love them! AND as much as we love you too!
