April 20, 2011 at 10:54 pm #4980432coupeSpectatorIt is with such sadness that I’ve learned of the passing of yet another good “friend” in our CC family. The last several months have been difficult. Rick’s courage and faith in the face of this evil disease were always inspiring. He is now at eternal peace in the presence of the Lover of his soul. May God bring peace to those left behind to mourn.

MargaretApril 18, 2011 at 6:32 am #49800nancy246SpectatorKen, I was so saddened to hear of Rick’s passing at such a young age. Getting to know him through his posts made me realize what a remarkable young man he was. I can understand why you are so proud. I am glad he has his faith and so does the rest of your family; it will help you through this most difficult of times. I know you will miss him terribly but he is with you forever. My condolences to you and all of Rick’s family and friends. We will miss him on this site, but let us know how you are all doing from time to time. Nancy
April 17, 2011 at 8:15 pm #49799slittle1127MemberDear Ken – Nothing compares to the loss of a child. I am so sorry that Rick went on before you, however, now that he has gone before you, he has blazed the trail. I am sure nothing would make him happier than to know that by his love and his example, he blazes a trail for you to follow so that you will be reunited again one day. The pain of the days ahead is awful, but I know that it is lessened by our faith and dependence on God. I am walking this walk myself and I assure you that it has been better because of my faith. I pray that this strengthens and carries you as well through the difficult days ahead. Be encouraged by the son you raised, the life he lead, and the example he set for others. Be in peace. Blessings, Susan
